After some mopey posts back to the humor. I guess I jinxed myself by posting about Pinocchio’s No Strings last week because I’m back to having a drain.
The good news is I have only one drain as opposed to the four drains I had right after I had my mastectomy. And one is way easier especially when your dominant hand is free.
Ironically when we were in the car yesterday, guess what song came on the Disney station…Pinocchio’s “I Got No Strings.” As I heard it I was laughing…is Pinocchio messing with me because this isn’t funny now that I have a drain again!
But it’s only one string and I am hopeful to have it out after a week. It’s easier since I’ve been through it once. Still gross, unpleasant and annoying but slightly more tolerable.
Although yesterday I forgot about my drain when dropping off a prescription at Walgreens. I went to the drive through and when I went to put the prescription in the bin I struggled as my left side has the drain in it. ?♀️
I could tell the pharmacist in the window was looking at me funny as I struggled to put a piece of paper in a bin but I managed to get it in. When I returned to pick the prescription up today I went in the store which was a far easier experience.
So “I’ve got one string to hold me down, to make me fret or make me frown. I had 4 strings but now I’m almost free, there’s only one string on me!”
And stop messing me with Pinocchio! Don’t forget I can tell when you’re lying!
