Surgery went ok yesterday. The doctor had to remove some dead skin and do some “cleaning up” which made for a much longer procedure than anticipated but implant and expander are in. I was very sore on the way home but thankfully the pain meds worked once I took them.
I didn’t sleep much since I was out so long during the day. Thanks to the rain delay I was able to watch the Phillies game last night though I may have been better off missing that poor performance!
I was so excited to have breakfast this morning because I couldn’t eat or drink anything for most of yesterday (my surgery didn’t start until close to 2 pm) and wasn’t all that hungry after I got home. Is there anything better than a cup of coffee in the morning?
And I was able to walk a mile this morning which I wasn’t planning on but it was 60 out and not raining and felt good to get some fresh air.
So overall things went well. Another surgery is in the books. I have those lovely drains in again but hopefully not for long. I’m hoping the pain gets better each day and I’ll focus on taking it easy so I can get back to “normal” as quickly as possible.
