Now that baseball is back and the Phillies are finally playing at home I am reminded of my favorite walk up song from last season that sends a perfect message. That song is Tai Verdes’ A-Ok and it’s Bryson Stott’s song.
It’s a reminder that everything is going to be a-o, a-ok. I needed this reminder as I’m frustrated at this latest surgery which I didn’t expect to be that bad but it’s kicking my ass.
My sleep is off still from the anesthesia though getting a little bit more on schedule. My legs are feeling a little better but it’s still incredibly sore and hard to move.
I love to walk and work out so having legs that are now out of commission is making me so upset. I haven’t been able to do much upper body this year but I had my legs! And now I don’t have that.
But it’s just temporary. “I’d be lying if I knew the way, I just eat shit and pretend it’s gourmet. I’ve had terrible, horrible no good very bad days, but I’m a G can’t you see that I will always be a-ok.”
Now I’m not really a G but I am pretty bad ass after all I’ve been through. So even with these tough days, I just need to push through because it will be a-o, a-ok. We have crappy times but I’ve been here before and gotten through.
So now that I got that song stuck in my head and yours, don’t you feel better? I have to remember that when “I see trouble come my way, I’ll be making lemonade” and “it will be a-o, a-ok.” It has been before even with some setbacks so I can be ok again. And not just ok, a-ok.
Coincidentally the one Phillies player to have a hit in every game this season is Bryson Stott. And he happened to have the game winning RBI in the bottom of the 9th today. And after trailing 2-0 headed into the 9th, the Phillies rallied to win. Because it was going to be a-o, a-ok.
