Well I had another bump in the road. I had a seizure on Monday. Seizures can happen after brain surgery. I will need to go on anti-seizure meds which I was on briefly following the surgery.
I had a CT scan, MRI and EEG and the good news is all were clear. There was some swelling from the surgery (another post op side effect) which medication can help go down.
I can’t wait to be back home and with my kids who I miss terribly. The seizure was incredibly terrifying. Staying on medication should prevent this.
My leg started shaking uncontrollably and I knew something was really wrong. My mother in law was over and I yelled for her and told her to call 911. I started having trouble breathing and next thing I know I woke up in the hospital. It was a very scary experience but thankfully I’m ok now.
As my dad said if there’s a complication you seem to have it (look at all my reconstruction issues!). This is just another bump in the road. It will require medication which I can deal with. I’m hoping to get out of the hospital today, 3 nights has been more than enough for me.
I can’t wait to be back with my kids and working on getting stronger and able to do more as I was before this latest setback. I’m ready to move on from this and get better. It’s just another bump in the road and I’m ready to move past it.
